Break

My thanksgiving break went really well. I got to spent some time with my family and i just got to relax. I chose not to work while i was home because i thought that i would do some homework but i ended up leaving my book bag in the car the whole time. I thought that i would sleep in since i had nothing to do but that was not the case everyday i was up at 7 like normal. I got some much needed time away from slippery rock since this was my first time home since the start of the semester. I look forward to going home when i can but i an very used to being independent. I got to eat a healthy home cooked meal for the first time in a long time and it was great. I can not wait until christmas break so i have more time home!

Breezy

Having a dog in college is something i would recommend to all student. It is alot of your time, energy, and money but in the end it is so worth it! Coming home after a long stressful day and to have a dog that is so happy to see you is such a great feeling. Plus you get alot of physical activity in that your normally would not get. I would not go out side in freezing temperatures for 15 minutes so my dog could use the restroom if i did not have to, and it is multiple times a day. Instead of sitting on the couch when i have free time i use that time to take her for walks if the weather is nice. Having a dog has had such an impact on my overall mood since i have had her it is crazy. Getting a dog is a big decision but it if it is the right decision for you, you will not regret it!

crashing down

As the end of the semester quickly approached i just feel like the everything is falling down on top of me. All the assignment that i knew about since the beginning of the semester that i just put to the side because i procrastinate so well. I can't even remember at this point the amount of stuff that i have to do at this point, it is at that point. Assignment after assignment keeps popping into my mind and making my to do list longer and longer. Trying to chip away at the list little by little over Thanksgiving break did not work as well as i hoped. Now it is crunch time for a lot of my stuff i have to get on it more. The next few days will be rough but i will get the stuff done.

So today in one of my classes I was graded on if I could run a mile and a half in 11 minutes and 58 second. With only a brief introduction early in the semester the thought of this quickly slipped from my mind. The date quickly approached and now it was time to get graded for the mile and a half run. Having to score higher than the 80th percentile seemed very unrealistic for even the good runners in the class. The teacher said take your mark and the time started ticking away. 12 laps stood between me and a water break or a restroom break. How I run these next 12 lap will determine the grade i get so I have to finish in time. The lap number slowly got smaller and smaller but seemed not to ever end, but at 11:46 the time was over and I got the grade.
