Breezy
Having a dog in college is something i would recommend to all student. It is alot of your time, energy, and money but in the end it is so worth it! Coming home after a long stressful day and to have a dog that is so happy to see you is such a great feeling. Plus you get alot of physical activity in that your normally would not get. I would not go out side in freezing temperatures for 15 minutes so my dog could use the restroom if i did not have to, and it is multiple times a day. Instead of sitting on the couch when i have free time i use that time to take her for walks if the weather is nice. Having a dog has had such an impact on my overall mood since i have had her it is crazy. Getting a dog is a big decision but it if it is the right decision for you, you will not regret it!

I agree with you Carly! I recently got a dog over the summer and it was the best decision I have ever made. He has become my buddy and always makes me feel so much better after a long day. I love going on walks with him. If I do not have time to get to the gym, I take him on walks and play with him all the time. He helps me get my physical activity in.
ReplyDeleteMy dog is lazy and doesn't walk very far outside. His idea of playing is also just laying on his side, pawing at me. He used to chase me around and bite me, but now that he's aged, he's become soft and somewhat loving. While he may be inactive, he helps me to do a little strength training when hes being annoying because I pick him up and he hates it.
ReplyDeleteDogs are the best! I agree with you 100%, they will change your life for the better! No matter what kind of day I have, when I get home, my puppy is always excited to see me. I cant even remember what life was like before I got her. I just know, like you said, that I am a whole bunch more physically active than I was before her. She also keeps my parents more active which is an added bonus!
ReplyDeleteFirst off your dog is super cute! I agree with you that having a dog is totally worth it and is tiring but I mean they always love you. Currently I just hangout with my neighbors dog because I couldn't afford one right now. But yes dogs are life and this post was awesome.
